iPhone is a Must to the High Class
The influx of touchscreen cellular phones, as started by Apple’s iPhone, has become very fast and sudden. When the news that the iPhone is coming out in the market, lines of people paying simply to reserve for an iPhone has mushroomed. This is despite the stiff introductory price of the iPhone of $600, which was later on cut to $400. It seemed that the iPhone addiction is the current craze. To the rich, it is a must have. To the middle class market, it is also a must have, even if they have to go of budget just to get the so popular iPhone.
Expectedly, all big rival telecommunications companies came up with their own iPhone versions. Samsung has their Omnia, Blackberry has their Storm, and Nokia has their N96 and so did Sony Ericsson and even LG had their own versions. Not only did these companies came up with a cellular phones of versions with similar features, they even surpassed the features that the iPhone have and offered the at a price even cheaper than that of the iPhone. However, despite all these efforts, the iPhone still remains to be the first choice of the condescending public.
For instance, the Samsung Omnia, as compared to the iPhone, also has touchscreen capability, 3G features, bigger screen and up to 16 gigabyte internal memory. However, the Omnia is cheaper than the iPhone and has higher megapixel compared to the latter. The Omnia has 5 megapixel while the iPhone only has 2. Despite this facts, the iPhone addiction never ceased. It is still the cellular phone everybody wants to have.
I guess it is the prestige of the brand that goes with the phone that is more important to the consumer more than the use and the features of the phone itself.
